when she arrived she was given a urinalysis. she had an extremely high count for THC it was in the range of over 800 in the following 40 days she was relegated to drug therapy in the form of counseling which she consented to and attended.

after 40 days she did another UA AND HER LEVELS WERE DOWN DRAMATICALLY. they were at 35 indicating she had not been using. they still threw her out and sent her home on a bus. i called and spoke to a counsellor named sheryl mc neil she proceeded to tell me that she still had THC in her system after 40 days and it was their policy to expell students still showing positive after 40 days i tried to tell her that even the judicial system allows that when the levels are going down they are considered to be ataining success in the program and are retested again to insure the levels keep going down.

she then mumbled something that i could not understand. i asked her to repeat what she said she then said we must have a bad connection. i asked her if she could understand what i was saying and she said yes i then told her it was evident we did not have a bad connection she then mumbled something else and i repeated i did not understand what she was saying. she then spoke so i could understand saying she was ending the phone call and hung up on me.

my daughter was making arraingments for me to pick her up on her arrival home when mc neily hung up on me and she was not allowed to call back she was also told her father needed an attitude adjustment. these peoples jack booted tactics may keep the kids in job corps cowed down but in the real world they are in my opinion un acceptable and should not be used on the childrens parents

Any thc in the system means your gone, she obviously still used while there even if it was awhile ago. It doesnt take the full 40 days to clean the system.

Sorry, but if your daughter's THC levels were over 800 she should have been placed in a rehab facility or hospital not Job Corps. For her to truly have levels that high she is more than just a recreational user.

I'm even surprised they allowed her to join with levels that high.

Given that the average level of THC found in most street grade marijuana is approximately 10%, and 10 mg THC is considered to be about the same as a medium-sized joint. She would have had to smoke pounds of the stuff to get levels that high or be really over weight! Also the clearance of THC depends on many factors, After consumption,THC has a nasty habit of getting stored in the body's fat, (the body's sick way of saving some for later I guess.) It normally takes 30 - 48 days for the body to reabsorb and process any THC stored in fat cells from the last joint,bong,etc... consumed. As trace amounts are released from the fat cells back into the blood stream on a daily basis.

(This is how the drug tests can tell if you have smoked pot even just once weeks after the fact.)The more fat cells in a person, the more THC is stored in the body. Depending on how fast a person loses the fat in those cells determines how fast the body releases, processes and removes the THC from the body.

You are not helping your daughter any by being in denile. She was kicked out more than likley for a good reson but she will not tell you the truth. You have got to understand all drug addicts lie.Instead of buying into it and enableing her you should go to some alanon meetings and educate yourself on the diesese that is addiction.

marijuana is just a past time its not truly addicting but people do prefer to be stoned its actually beneficial. (unless they get to high) Just like you might prefer to watch a certain tv show.

Now every other drug yes they are highly addicting trust me I've done about everything there is back when I was a addict.

Was marijuana my gateway drug? No it was liquor and pain pills.

There is a spell checker in the top right-hand corner, so there is no excuse as to why you have 5 misspelled words. Please educate yourself on spelling.
